Editorial Policy

Cage Brothers is operated by SIA BC Brothers, a company registered in Latvia under registration number 40203642521, with its registered address at Nīcgales iela 19 - 58, Rīga, LV-1035, Latvia.

This page explains what on this site is written by people, what is generated automatically, where our information comes from and how we correct mistakes. Editorial responsibility for everything published on Cage Brothers lies with Inés Ledo, Head of Content.

Data pages

Event cards, fight pages, results, fighter profiles, records and rankings are built automatically from data supplied by licensed MMA data providers and from the promotions' own announcements. Records and statistics are counted only from the bouts we hold a full result for, which for many fighters is shorter than their official professional record. Odds shown on fight pages come from bookmakers' published prices and are information, not advice.

Automated updates

Short data updates — a new card added, a ranking that moved — appear as one-line entries on our Changelog. They are generated by software from the same data, signed "Cage Brothers Data Desk", never with a person's name, and have no pages of their own. Everything published as an article on this site is written by a person.

Articles by our writers

Reporting, analysis and opinion are written by named people. Every such article carries its author's real name, which links to a profile describing who they are. Before publication each piece is reviewed by the Head of Content for accuracy, sourcing and fairness.

  • We report facts from official promotion announcements, athlete and team statements, and established media, and we link to the source where one exists.
  • We do not invent quotes, sources or credentials.
  • Analysis and opinion are labelled as such and kept separate from reporting.
  • Commercial relationships never decide what we cover, how we rank fighters or how we report results.

Use of AI

The summaries on Around the World are written with the help of a language model from the full text of the original article, and each links to that original. Some illustrative artwork is created with image models and is never presented as a photograph of a real event. AI is not used to write articles published under a person's name.

Corrections

If you find a wrong result, an outdated record or any other error, email borja@betbrothers.es with the page address and what needs fixing. Data errors are usually corrected within 24 hours. Material corrections to written articles are noted at the end of the article.
